TRAFFIC JAM is a performance project that uses experimental music making to spark new conversations about transportation policy. The project was created in a series of public workshops with local artists and students from Austin Soundwaves, an El Sistema inspired music program in East Austin. The culminating performance featured interactive pieces for ensembles of automobiles, motorcycles, amplified bicycles, sonic kids toys, and marching band at the State Garage in downtown Austin.
